Never underestimate overachievement
a blustery cornerstone of every great society
pushing past forward, focused on uphill
against the odds, ostensibly
for the sake of glistening goal triumph

Our best and brightest, easily overtaken
by those who crave, careen for success
unknown by anyone before, or personal timeline
“they’re shrinking!” you remark
No, they’re just moving farther, faster, further

Redefining the terms, trailblazing
it’s not that you never saw it coming
you never had a vision at all
you call them overachievers in poisonous praise
Forgetting their accomplishments are an antidote
